This Project Will Eliminate 10 Overboard Discharge Systems & 6 Sub-Surface Disposal Systems For Squirrel Island. The Existing System Will Be Retrofitted With 13 E-One Pump Stations. These Pump Stations Are Designed To Salvage The Existing Outfall Systems. The Existing Septic Tanks Will Need To Be Cleaned Out & The Bottoms Of Them Re-Shaped As Part Of This Project. A New Subsurface Syste Will Be Constructed For One Structure For Year Round Use. The Pump Stations Wil Be Connected Together By A Polyethylene Pipe Ranging From 1- 1/2' To 3' In Diameter. Most Of This Forcemain Will Be Installed On The Surface Similar To Th Existing Watermain On The Island. A 3' Diameter Polyethylene Forcemain Will Be Weighted To Sit On The Bottom Of The Ocean Between Squirrel Island & Spruce Point In Boothbay Harbor.
