Project Description:

Pavement Markers This project consists of installing a total of 105.5 miles of milled centerline rumble strips(CLRS)and 329.3 miles of milled edgeline rumble strips(ERS)on various SR’s throughout PennDOT Engineering District 9-0. In addition,this project includes the upgrading of existing shoulders left&right(as well as the corresponding installation of milled edgeline rumble strips)in Somerset County along SR 0219 from Seg. 380/0500 to Seg. 490/2100(from Berlin Borough to the beginning of the concrete 4-lane section of SR 0219). Also included in this contract is the re-painting of all affected edge-and centerlines. In Bedford County,a total of 17.5 miles of milled CLRS will be installed on 5 different SR’s(26,31,220,1044,&4009)while a total of 99.4 linear miles of milled ERS will be installed on 5 different SR’s(30,31,220,1044,&4009). In Blair County,15.7 miles of milled CLRS will be installed on 3 different SR’s(866,3013,&4015)while 27.2 linear miles of milled ERS will be installed on 3 different SR’s(22,1001,&3013). In Cambria County,1.8 miles of milled CLRS will be installed on one SR(3029)and 31.4 linear miles of milled ERS will be installed on 3 different SR’s(36,271,&3033). No milled CLRS will be installed in Fulton County under this project,a total of 28.5 linear miles of milled ERS will be cut on 3 different SR’s(16,30,&522). In Huntingdon County,a total of 23.3 miles of milled CLRS will be added on 3 different routes(SR’s 45,655,and 994)as well as a total of 33.6 linear miles of milled ERS being installed on 2 different routes(SR’s 522&994). In Somerset County 47.2 miles of new milled CLRS will be installed on a total of 10 different SR’s(30,31,56,160,219,281,601,985,3029,&3037)while approximately 109.3 miles of new milled ERS will be added to 7 different SR’s(30,31,56,160,219,281,&601).
