Project Description:

Airport Construction This federally funded project will construct a new runway approximately 340 feet west of the existing runway 13/31 and north of runway 09/27. The relocated airport construction will include a 3,300-foot by 75-foot runway with safety areas,250-foot taxiway,apron,snow removal equipment building(SREB)and pad,unlighted wind cone,lighted wind cone with segmented circle,rotating beacon,airport lighting system,and pads for runway end identifier lights(REIL)and precision approach path indicators(PAPI). Two 24-foot wide access roads will connect the airport to an existing roadway system. The scope of this project will also include decommissioning the existing runways. Due to budget constraints,this project is broken up into three parts;Basic Bid,Additive Alternate 1,and Additive Alternate 2. Additive 1 uses a portion of the existing runway 13/31 to construct a 1710-foot taxiway to the approach end of runway 32. Additive 2 installs 13,700 feet of 8-foot high chain link security fencing.
