Product Description, Applications
ViperStud is a high strength, flat steel drywall framing system that provides an enhanced alternative to traditional or dimpled drywall stud and track system. This non-load bearing wall assembly is available in two thicknesses, Viper25 is an equivalent product to conventional 25 gauge, and Viper20 is an equivalent to conventional 20 gauge (DW). The system is also interchangeable with conventional framing components and requires no additional training or special fasteners for installation.
The ViperStud system has been extensively tested by leading accredited test agencies and approved for compliance with the latest standards and building codes. ViperStud is listed in ICC ES ESR-2620 and in ATI’s Code Compliance Research Report CCRR-0154 for the IBC 2012 and Florida Building Code 2010 (including high wind zones). ViperStud has also been tested to achieve 1, 2, 3 and 4 hour fire ratings providing solutions to address a wide range of field applications.
