Pyro-Guard treated wood (FRTW) is pressure impregnated lumber, engineered to provide fire performance for enclosed structural applications. Unlike coatings, which provide only superficial protection, Pyro-Guard hinders combustion and insulates the wood against continuing damage from fire, providing a low rate of fuel contribution and maintaining structural integrity longer than many other building products.
